The Sand County Almanac is a classic in the nature writing genre.  It is structured around the Aldo Leopold’s observations of the seasons at his shack in the sand country of central Wisconsin.  I am reading each chapter aloud and on a monthly (ok, more like “when they are ready”) basis I will post those bits of wisdom and joy here.
